According to multiple reports, the body of 58-year-old Danny Frank Christian has been recovered from the Wood County section of Lake Fork. This lake is a known destination for avid anglers.
Christian’s unoccupied boat, with the motor still running, was discovered in neutral with his belongings still inside the boat. He was reported missing on Sunday around 4:45 p.m. in the Birch Creek area.
Quint Balkom of TPWD says officials believe the angler may have fallen out of his boat while attempting to tie the boat to standing timber. He was fishing by himself, so there are no eyewitnesses to the incident.
An autopsy has been ordered.
