The waters are warming and it won’t be long for topwater action to heat up as well. One of the most prolific topwater lures in the spring and early summer is a buzzbait. They create commotion and it seems big fish can’t stand the gurgle and clicking of a well made buzzer. Hook up ratios on buzzbaits are better than most other topwaters and the ability to cover water is their strength.
Right now is perfect timing for some buzzbait magic in the southern tier of states but it won’t be long and the entire country will be ripe for buzzbaiting.
